Anime Dice Beginner Guide — Your First Hour
Anime Dice beginner guide: the exact first-hour plan — redeem codes, buy your first dice for $1, fill your plot, and the upgrade order that compounds. Verified from a full 38-minute day-one run.
This Anime Dice beginner guide walks your first hour in the exact order that compounds fastest. The loop is simple — roll dice, place units, earn money offline — but the upgrade order is where new players lose hours. Everything below is verified from a full noob-to-pro run plus the official game description.
Step 0: Redeem All Codes First (5 minutes)
Before anything else, redeem every working code — the list is on our codes page. The milestone codes (UPDATE5, 100KLIKES, 40KCCU and friends) hand you free Lucky Spins, Trait Rerolls and Gems, which is the single biggest head start in the game. The code box hides at the bottom of the Shop menu.
Step 1: Buy Your First Dice ($1)
The tutorial points you at the Dice Shop: Normal | Common — 2x Luck — $1. Buy it. Your first rolls will land Common units like Nezuka — that's fine, they earn money the moment they're on your plot, and money keeps generating while you're offline.

Step 2: Fill Your Plot, Then Upgrade Dice
Roll until your plot holds a full team of earners, then save for Fire (5x Luck, $2.5k) — your first real rarity jump. The cash curve from a full plot of Commons covers it in minutes. From here, the dice ladder is your roadmap: Fire → Water (10x) → Nature (20x) → Lightning → Ice (100x). The full ladder with prices is in the dice luck guide.
Step 3: Spend Your First Gems on Trait Rerolls
Traits multiply a unit's income, damage and health — Samurai (3x) is your first meaningful target, with Shogun (5x) and Monarch (8x) behind it. One warning from the game itself: rerolling a trait replaces the current one, so expect churn. The traits guide has the full table and odds.
Step 4: Expand Your Backpack, Not Your Ego
Your unit inventory fills fast — the game nags you to sell. Buy Backpack upgrades (+35% per tier) and set Auto Sell to dump units below a chance threshold you pick (e.g. auto-sell anything rarer than 1-in-20k so it never bothers you again).
Step 5: First Rebirth — When?
Rebirthing resets your cash for a permanent multiplier, so the timing rule is simple: rebirth when your income growth stalls and the next rebirth multiplier beats the rebuild time. Early on that's roughly once per session; the UPGRADES panel (2x/2.5x Luck and Cash) also resets, so buy those right before rebirthing, not after.

- Rolling with base luck all day — spend Lucky Spins from codes instead; they apply up to 100x luck to your next roll.
- Hoarding Common units — Auto Sell exists; inventory space is a resource.
- Ignoring Quests — the quest board (roll 1,000 times, defeat towers, play 5 hours) refreshes weekly and pays out on top of your plot income.
- Skipping the Group Chest — joining the More & More Games group earns free chest rewards.
After the First Hour
Push the Towers for Dragon Income buffs, chase your first Huge-tier unit (Huge Tien at 1 in 2k is a realistic early target), and track new content in the update log. The tier list shows what every ladder is worth.
